Sonisphere 4th – 6th July Sonisphere celebrates 40 years of music and a massive come back with headliners The Prodigy, Iron Maiden and Metallica as well as an awesome line up which (so far) includes Slayer, Alice In Chains, Airbourne, Gojira, Ghost Mastodon and Karnicool.

Reading & Leeds 22nd – 24th August The mighty Reading & Leeds festival sees headliners Blink 182 playing their only UK gig of the year in the company of Jake Bugg, Disclosure, Metronomy, Of Mice & Men, Wilkinson and I Am Legion with more names to be announced.

New Bands

Maybe you’re looking for some new talent to follow around the globe? Then make sure you don’t miss out on these hot tipped, fresh faced and downright insane new bands.

Baby Godzilla are a Nottingham based rock band who describe their genre as “general extreme noise” – which is perfect for anyone whose ears were in need of a little more battering. You can find them alongside Limp Bizkit, Crossfaith and Nekro Goblikon on the 2014 Kerrang! Tour and you can check out their sound on the ‘Knockout Machine’ EP.
If formidable facial hair is a must on your band of choice then make sure you check out Wilson. Guaranteed to get you hot, sweaty and ready to rock in no time, the ferocious five can be heard on their awesome debut album ‘Full Blast Fuckery’ (Not for the feint hearted, we’ll give you that one for free!)
Issues are an American metalcore band on the Rise label and they were voted the number 1 in Kerrang!’s ‘Best New Bands of 2013’. If you fancy a little listen then go grab yourself a copy of their self-titled debut album ‘Issues’ which is released on 18th February 2014. Also if you are on the touring scene then you can catch them with Bring Me The Horizon and & Of Mice & Men on the American Dream tour.

New Albums

Of Mice & Men are coming back strong with ‘Restoring Force’ which is set for release on 28th January whilst Bury Tomorrow are teasing us with a summer release of ‘Runes’ on 26th May and with bands including Architects, Limp Bizkit, Crown The Empire, Blink 182, Foo Fighters, Slipknot and the mighty Iron Maiden set to release albums through spring, summer and winter, you can rest assured that your ears will not be lonely this year!
